Photos of Abu Sayyaf fast craft seized by elements of Marine Battalion Landing Team 6 on 29 March 2002 in Rio Hondo, Zamboanga. Note the five 250HP Yamaha outboard engines. The boat is typical of those used by the ASG in their kidnapping operations and in smuggling contraband. Designed speed is 45 knots. When seized, it had been hidden among stilt houses loaded with contraband. The boat was turned over to the Philippine Navy Special Warfare Group. The Corps thanked the concerned citizens who reported its sighting and led to its seizure.
