Being part of a Ready Reserve unit, in times of emergency a call for mobilization is done any time of the day. We received one on a Friday 27th June wherein Operation Bulig a joint project of DZRH/DYOK and the PAF (1RRAW, 11RRAG, 4RRAW) was activated.

We need to prepare relief goods collected at the DZRH station for dispatch to Iloilo early morning.

Reservists responded to the call at the DZRH MBC office by 1500H.

Some in BDUs and others still in office and civilian clothes reporting directly from work.

Packing relief goods.

Loading them up on trucks.

Our convoy trying to arrive on time for loading to the C-130 reaching CJVAB by midnight.

Again the whole process of unloading from the trucks was done but straight to the base ops storage area as the unit was informed that the sched flight for the morning was cancelled.

Work on C-130 delayed Iloilo relief mission

BTW, the helicopter is owned and piloted by the RRATSW Commander himself, Col Levanza, who is also a PCG Auxiliarist.
