Army's Week-long Caravan slated in the Metro

Considered as the biggest and widest-reach branch of service in the Armed Forces of the Philippines , the Philippine Army is set to celebrate its annual founding anniversary, highlighted not only with its traditional flag raising and awarding ceremony, and a military parade, but also a Week-long Caravan with Photo and Static displays slated in the Metro.

The anniversary is usually celebrated every March 22 every year, but since the anniversary this year falls on the Black Saturday, the 111th PA Day shall be celebrated on March 19, with this year's theme: "Team Army: Strong and United toward Peace and Development."

In line with that theme, the Week-long Caravan will showcase different photos and static displays from the Scout Rangers, Special Forces, Civil-Military Operations Group, Light Armor Division, and the Defense Press Corps.

As the saying goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words," the photos/ static displays at the Caravan will certainly speak for the Philippine Army as an organization and its soldiers to make the public appreciate and support what we do.

In addition to that, a recruitment booth will be set up and there will be a film showing about Valor awardees and the New Army Today. For this year, the Philippine Army is in need of 3,000 candidate soldiers and the requirements are the following:

1) Natural-born Filipino citizen

3) At least 5'4" in height for males and at least 5'2" for females

4) Unmarried and without child

5) Of good moral character

6) AFPTAB score of at least 80

Priority candidates in filling up the Candidate Soldiers are qualified professionals, Graduate of MS43 and Advanced ROTC, with 72 units and up in College, or high school graduates but must possess technical vocational skills needed by the AFP.

For more details, interested applicants may visit the recruitment booths during the Army Caravan scheduled on March 9 at the Marikina Riverbanks, Marikina City and March 11 at the Araneta Center , Cubao Quezon City. #

Was the MX-8 there? Thanks for sharing pics... More pls...  :)
EE-T4 Ogum RECCON VEHICLE

The EE-T4 Reccon Vehicle is a brilliant vehicle. Quick, light armored and have it armed with a RCWS equipted with a 0.50 cal HMG and 40mm AGL combo i'm ganna be happy with it. Better yet install a 20-25mm RCWS with a co-axial 7.62mm MG to it, Hell… just perfect for the Philippine Army.

Weisel is cute but the EE-T4, makes you go Wow!!! Send a pack of them and they could drive fast and deep into the Philippine Jungle and we could clear the rebels alot sooner. Hopefully the GA or PA R&D looks into this vehicle and craft our own version of the EE-T4, calling our version "Daga" would be fitting.

Ever see a pack of rats converge on unattended meal, a sight of the EE-T4 RP version moving in would give any rebel LBM.
