This was the last boat commissioned during the Marcos Era. It was commissioned as it was being paraded. Then commissioned again during the Aquino administration.

Does this have an old 76mm gun or the advanced 30mm twin gun? (looks like the former)

Based on the photo above, its using a single 40mm Bofors gun, similar to the ones used in some ex South Korean PKMs and and mounted on trailers of the PMC AA Bn

During the Erap time, in a certain TV program, they showed a close up of this vessel.  I don't know whether it's the Aguinaldo or its sister ship.  The footage reveals a single 40mm bofors mount.  I should think both ships(Aguinaldo class) has identical guns at the forward "A" position.

Was not very interested with the text... I already knew how bad the state of the Navy was...

No recent info about PG-140, but Opus's photo of PG-140 isn't all that old.

PG-141 took part in an excercise middle of last year, so that boat is definitely still active.

Originally this ship was commissioned at the tailend of the Marcos-era. That time hindi pa nakabitan ng makina so hinial ito from Cavite to HPN during the PN day. During Cory's time no information kung ano nagyari then at start ng term ni Ramos ni-recommissioned ulit.

(May) 2009 was the 111th PN Anniversay.  So this clipping could be in 1992.

Whats the reason of not building and deploying more vessels based on Aguinaldo-Class?  With its size, this vessel can be an Indigenous OPV for the PN Command and then upgrading its weapons by including a Gil Spike Missiles...

Based on displacement, its less than half the size of the Jacinto. Its even smaller than the Cyclone. So its still a small boat. But probably not small enough for the PN's current acquisition focus, most of which involve assets like the MPAC, RHIB, and the Stoneworks Marine boats.

If the PN were to manufacture an "Improved Aguinaldo" or Batch 2, IMHO we might want to make it a RHIB carrier like the Cyclone.
