            The formal Oath-Taking of thirteen (13) newly promoted Air Force generals was held at Rizal Hall in Malacañang Palace this morning before Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. The PAF officers took their oath along with other promoted generals from the AFP major service commands.

            Lt Gen Hernanie B Perez AFP, Commander of Western Command, led the list of promoted generals. Completing the list are MGen Antonio L Bautista AFP (Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, J-9), MGen Lino Horacio E Lapinid AFP (Commander, 1st Air Division), MGen Artemio G Orozco AFP (Air Force Inspector General), BGen Carlix P Donila AFP (Wing Commander, 530th Air Base Wing), BGen Pedro E Rieza Jr. AFP (Wing Commander, 355th Air Engineering Wing) and BGen Federico P Ercilla Jr AFP (Deputy TIG, AFP).

            Also in the list are BGen Francisco N Cruz AFP (Wing Commander, 600th Air Base Wing), BGen Gregorio E Macapagal AFP (Wing Commander, 410th Maintenance Wing), BGen Lauro Catalino G Dela Cruz AFP (205th Tactical Helicopter Wing), BGen Joel C Marayag AFP (Deputy Commander, 1AD), BGen Rolando C Hautea Jr AFP (Wing Commander, 220th Airlift Wing ) and BGen Cipriano D Gundao AFP (Deputy Commander, Air Logistics Command).

            Prior to the formal program at Malacañg, the generals were feted at the Ball Room of the Villamor Golf Club. Ladies, dependents and immediate relatives of the newly promoted generals were also present to witness the event

The Philippine Army welcomes the five newly promoted Brigadier Generals in their courtesy call to the Army Chief LtGen Delfin N Bangit at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Andres Bonifacio, Metro Manila. They were Brigadier Generals (l-r) Rey C Ardo, Emmanuel I Amat, Noel S Coballes, Romeo F Fajardo and Gominto B Pirino.#

Five newly promoted Major Generals paid a courtesy call on the Army Chief Lt Gen Delfin N Bangit at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila today. They were Major Generals (l-r) Irineo C Espino, Jorge V Segovia, Anthony J Alcantara, Josue S Gaverza Jr. and Hilario M Atendido. The Philippine Army is confident that with these officers, shaped by years of experience in military institution and assigned to sensitive and crucial posts, the winning shots for the AFP in this last phase of anti-insurgency campaign will be delivered.#
