Interesting.. First Time i heard of this. So there are more choppers coming aside from the already known 8 Sokols, maybe more of the same kind or some other types?

Remember the Cobra - anti-Cobra debate? The anti-Cobras want an attack helicopter that can also carry troops. The armed version of the Sokol, the one currently in use in the Polish Army, is one of the contenders for this.

The original number of attack helicopters was actually 14.

Have we met the targets of Horizon 1?

Outstanding items from Horizon 1 include the CUH and AH, and the 10 refurbished Hueys.

SAMs are not as flexible, and therefore not as useful, as manned aircraft. Discussed before here:

Is it possible we can install these SAMs into our existing vessels to help our air assets?

Probably in the later phases of the CUP.

The AFP knows the importance of SAMs. These are actually included in their medium and long term plans. There simply a lot of things that have to happen before we get to that point.

An interesting read:

http://www.pdgs.org/Archivo//afp-summary.htm

Does anyone know how credible pdgs is?

Note how old the report is.

***** Edit. There's another thread that has the link.

In that other thread Adroth asked the question as to whether or not any of the service plans still reflect what was then the assessed need (as described in the link). The question remains as there is still no published "plans."

My opinion is we should eliminate the communist threat first then the muslim rebellion.
as history taught us chiang kai shek of china in world war 2 made a huge mistake by not eliminating the communist threat & he paid for it dearly till now. those communists kept on saying they're for the country w/c in fact they are the ones ruining the country, tourism can't take off 100% investors will not invest in countryside! our AFP should consolidate all it's resources right now & take out those commies one region at a time by doing this we need to add additional manpower & firepower. as Mao Ze Dong once said power comes from the barrel of the gun. commies only know the language of force ! our past gov'ts had been very lax w/ them, we need to solve this problem once & for all !!!!
we need at least 500,000 troops  :bravo: if we can't muster that much we need to use the cvos or we must try the conscript !
once we eliminates all these threats we'll be the envy & of our neighbors & feared  :2rifles:  likewise due to our big population.
it's time for us to face our problems !
